Perspectives

Hello, and Happy New Year. I hope you spent it well and surrounded by loved ones.

It has been a while since I’ve posted. But I want to go into 2024, having had a few short perspectives of what I’ve learned from my writings in 2023.

Firstly, writing is a difficult process. Those who endeavor in it know it takes patience, time, and effort. It is like wanting to run a marathon when you’ve never run one before. However, I’ve realized that it isn’t the finish line that is worth reaching. It is the journey to it.

Secondly, I am glad how the blog turned out so far. I decided to change the blog a bit. Not too drastically. My years in the military as a supervisor taught me that projects tend to vary in scope. We must be willing to recognize when things need to change for the better. And changing a few things occasionally to keep it interesting doesn’t hurt anybody, right?

Thirdly (by the way, I like to end things in threes. For instance, this is the third paragraph of the points I wanted to make. When I write sentences and give examples, they are usually in threes, such as “patience, time, and effort,” as I wrote above); I am grateful to use a skill I enjoy doing while believing it helps people. I hope my writings reach people all over the world. That would be a dream come true. Yet, it is challenging to grasp the younger generation’s attention in the age of videos, podcasts, and instant gratification. Nevertheless, I believe my writings have somehow influenced those who have read them. And as long as I influence one reader to think for the better, I’ve done good on my purpose.

These are some of the learning experiences from my writings in 2023, and I am grateful for learning them just from having a desire to write. I look forward to seeing how my writing develops.

If you have Esperanzas, dreams, goals, or plans…do them. Stop thinking about it. JUST START.

Let's conquer 2024!
